Relocating to Chicago area

I will be moving to Plainfield for 12-18 months. Any information on where to live, housing (2br rental house/condo), things to do, etc would be appreciated. TIA.

Sorry not much help here having never lived there, but Plainfield is on the bus and train route to Chicago.

If you are single or have no children, live in Chicago and take public trans to Plainfield. The Metra goes there. is an AMAZING experience!
