...that the media doesn't care much about the South. I've kept this in mind as I notice a lot of the coverage in the media really does cover the East and West coasts.
This Hurricane Irene is just one of many examples that I've noticed lately.. Sure, it's a hurricane. It's a devastating storm, I'm sure. What about all the people who had no clue about Ike when it ravaged the 4th largest city in the United States, Houston? Heck, most of the people that DID hear about Ike only cared about Galveston. The rest of the affected areas were given the Mississippi/Alabama treatment to Galveston's New Orleans treatment.
This is one reason why I'm tuning out the news for the most part.
