So I'm going to be in Chicago next weekend and was looking for a place to watch the Ags BTHO Idaho. Does the Chicagoland Aggie Club have a place to get together to watch games like this? Their website is under construction, so useless for info.

Damn Shaggie....

I just came on here looking for the same thing. I'll be in Chi-town next weekend, and hoping to find a spot with some Aggies to watch the game.

And yes, the website for Chicago former students is worthless. I did however email the president of that club.

help anyone??

Nice, thanks for checking around. Maybe I'll see you there.

-Let's just hope they get the pay-per view for this one.

I'll probably give them a call next week to make sure.

I went to their website. They do list A&M as one of their alumni gathering places, but they also list Kentucky. And, they are advertising a big watching party for Kentucky vs Louisville, which is happening at the same time.

We might be relegated to a back corner of the bar.

Yes, we watch all Aggie games at the Pony in Lakeview. The bar is ok, but they usually run specials on Shiner on game days. They have both Aggie and kentucky gear hanging on the walls and play the war hym before games and at half time. If the uk/louisville game is on at the same time, they supposedly have just opened an upstairs portion of the bar, so the Ags may end up watching our game up there.

Show up early, because the Ags fill the tables in that place pretty quickly. I'll post here if I hear anything different from the club.

From the Chicagoland Aggie email group:

Howdy Ags!

The turnout for the last game was awesome! Let's make this week just as big! The Aggie Football Team is playing Idaho this Saturday 9/17. Kickoff is set for 6PM. The game is on Pay Per View, but no worries, you can watch it for free if you join us at The Pony (1638 W Belmont, Chicago) or The Fox & Hound in Schaumburg.

We'll have the same specials at The Pony and we may have the upstairs to ourselves!

$3.50 Shiner Bock
$17 Shiner Buckets
$5 Redheaded $luts
**Working on a buffet**

The Pony is located at 1638 W Belmont in Lakeview/Roscoe Village just two blocks from the Paulina Brown Line Stop. It is also easily accessible via the 77 Belmont bus from either the Red Line or Blue Line (Paulina stop). Street parking can be tricky but the entire side of Belmont that the Pony is located on becomes open parking after 6:00. There is also neighborhood parking available.

We look forward to seeing you all this weekend! BTHO Idaho!!!!
