Graduating soon and just accepted a job based out of Lafayette.

Anybody have any info? ie places to live, things to do, nightlife, churches with young people, gyms?

Are there any Ags around or are they all LSU fans?

Grew up in Lafayette. If you just got out of school, you'll love it.

UL has a good nightlife scene; the renovation of downtown a few years ago has added a bunch of good bars/restaurants. There is a TON of female talent (assuming you are a guy). The food is unmatched - it's the heart of Cajun country so you'll get the best Cajun food in the world. Crawfish season is fantastic. Good hunting & fishing if you're into that.

As far as number of Ags, as late as the '90's the Lafayette Aggie Club was the largest A&M alumni group outside of Texas. They used to have a luncheon each month at Oakbourne Country Club, but I would imagine the Association can get you in touch with whomever is heading up the Club now.
