My dad and I will be in Boston for a few days in May. Other than the obvious stuff (Sox game, historical sites), can anyone suggest some obscure things that we shouldn't miss?

Mamma Maria's in the North End has been the only restaurant that's been suggested.

My sis ('08) lived there for three years so I visited a few times. My fav things were the Aquarium, not far from North End, Faniuel Hall (sp?), Legals Test Kitchen, the Commons, Sam Adams, Harvard square. Pretty much everywhere on the north end is great, be sure and go to one of the bakeries in the north end
