I've lived in New Hampshire my whole life until I came to A&M in August, and honestly there isn't much to do in Vermont. There are only a few cities in the entire state with more than 20,000 people in it, and outside of snowboarding, I can't think of any time I've really gone to Vermont. However, I do know some nature/outdoorsy people who really like it, so if that's what you enjoy, then it might be a good place for yo. Also, I have a friend who just graduated and took a job with IBM in Burlington, so I can ask her how she's liking life up there if you'd like.
