Hello,
I attended Mira Mesa High in San Diego and am reaching out to friends and peers located in California. I am seeking networking references, head hunter contacts, employer leads or anything else for assistance securing career relocation back to California. I would be grateful for any connections, forwards or contacts that may relate to GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
My current position is assisting the GIS Coordinator in IT for a mid size city with a quasi enterprise system. Tasks include final quality control for streets and addressing, data maintenance and massage for internal and external web-feds, supervising three masters interns, coordinating across departments and working cooperatively with regional entities and business. I am FEMA NIMS ICS certified as staff for emergency operations, have CJIS civilian clearance, and work closely with our first responders, assist crime mapping and am on call staff for mobile incident command. I have implemented monthly in-house training, lead citizen geo-caching, started a GIS day celebration, guest lectured at Texas A & M University and provide tech support for various levels of internal and external customers, including 20 master users, 72 mid-level users, over 300 mobile platform users, and internal or public web related services. GIS related education includes a renewable natural resources and forestry background with work experience in state parks and wildlife management including hunting non profits. I have a detailed and diverse skills set that I deploy with vibrant enthusiasm for GIS that enables me to meet or exceed goals and deadlines while overcoming barriers.
If you know anyone who may be searching for someone with my background and skills, please contact me at 979.204.2259 or Dawn.R.Killian@gmail.com. If you have any ideas or suggestions, I am interested in learning of them. A resume is available upon request. Thank you for taking a moment to read and assist me.
Sincerely,
Dawn
