Starting Dental School this Fall in the Downtown/Chinatown area. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated on places to live, realtors, anything really? TIA

No Bostonians here?

From the friends I have up there, I've always heard Cambridge was nice for students, obviously as it's close to Harvard. It is across the river from Chinatown, so not sure what kind of commute you're looking for.

Charlestown is nice from when I visited or Boston Common.

I lived just outside of Boston or in southern New Hampshire my whole life until I came to A&M in August. What do you wanna know about Boston?

Well, my wife and I are moving there Aug 1. I'm starting dental school at Tufts Dental School, located in Chinatown. From what we hear rent is continually on the rise and have been told repeatedly to buy. We would like to stay close to the school, but the closer the more expensive.

If you know, can you tell me about the quality of the following neighborhoods: Chinatown, Downtown, Leather District, Beacon Hill, Back Bay, South End, South Boston, and Bay Village?

If you know of any good realtors that would be great too. TIA

Well I'm only 22 so I can't say I know much about real estate yet. Not sure if you've ever been there, but Boston's a fun city to go to as a whole. I know for a fact that the cost of living in Boston is wayyy higher than in TX, though. Some of my friends go to Boston Univ., Northeastern, Suffolk, or just live in Boston now, so I'll try to ask them about those parts of town. Usually I Skype a couple of them every weekend or so, so I'll get back to you by early April I'd say. Is there any specific info you want me to ask about (range of rent prices, safety, proximity to the subway, etc.)?
