I'm heading to Nashville for graduate school and just wanted to see if there are any Aggies out there that had advice on where to live, wha to avoid etc. in the Nashville area.

My gf and I are struggling right now to find a house to rent so any help on the living front would be greatly appreciated!

I live closer to Chatt, but know there are some Nashville Ags around on Texags.

They also have a decent A&M club, if I recall.

Might go onto AO and see what response you get.

What is your budget for renting? My wife and I are actually leaving Nashville at the end of June and love the place we're staying (12 South). If you're doing grad school at Vandy, Belmont, or Lipscomb, it's hard to beat 12 South, Belmont, or Hillsboro Village area for convenience. Living close to campus can be higher rent, and either just inside or just outside 440 is a lot cheaper even though it's just a couple of miles away. Most people who live in Bellevue regret the commute, and Sylvan park / Charlotte Pike is an up and coming area with a longer drive than 12 South but a lot shorter than Bellevue.

My sister-in-law and brother-in-law have some rental places in Nashville. I could see if any of them are available.

We are looking to pay no more than 1,800-1,900 per month. We were just there this past weekend and love the 12th South/Hillsboro and Sylvan Park areas.

If you're interested, I can send you the pictures that our landlord sent us originally of our place at 12 South Towers (940 Gale Lane if you want to check the location). It's a 2 story condo, 1144 sq ft with 2BR (Master is 12 x 19 with two closets), 1.5 Bath, laundry room with washer/dryer and an upstairs and downstairs porch/deck. For reference, my wife and I walk over to the 12 South strip to eat and hang out, and it takes about 7-8 minutes walking to get to the Burger Up corner, and it takes about that long to drive to Vanderbilt, less to Belmont and Lipscomb. I'm not sure what the rent would be, but it would be well under 1800-1900. I don't think they want any pets, if that's an issue, but they've been great landlords.

And we will be out by June 30th.
