I'll have an apartment close to downtown. If anyone would like to give any tips on where to go/ what to see (bars, restaurants, etc..) in Denver it'd be much appreciated!

Check out a rockies game and a rapids game.

The internship with Enterprise Holdings down in Centennial. I just figured living downtown would be more fun for the summer. And that sounds great, much appreciated!

Good decision getting an internship in Denver. There are tons of bars in LoDo for the younger crowd/hookup scene. There are also several good ones on 14th and 15th streets, around Blake/Market/Larimer.

Rio and D'Corazon are across the street. Both have very good Mexican food, but D'Corazon is a little better (known for their pork carnitas). The margaritas at Rio are amazing.

Great Divide Brewery tasting room (Arapahoe and 22nd) is awesome. Some of the best beer in the world, a nice crowd, and good pizza truck out front.

Snooze AM for breakfast- amazing pancakes. It's in one of the few shady spots in Denver, but you should be fine to walk during the day.

There are tons of good restaurants here, but not too many places that I crave (like I used to in Houston)... which is probably a good thing for me because I like to eat.

Burgers: City Grille on Colfax, Cherry Cricket in Cherry Creek, H-Burger on 16th, and Park Burger (never been there, but heard good things). Also, My Brother's Bar has good burgers and cool atmosphere.

No prob. Let me know if you want suggestions on other types of food. I love food, beer, and bourbon.... and will gladly share my favorites.

Proud and I have argued about snooze before...Have fun at the two hour wait.

However, the pancakes are out of this world.

Whenever I drive by the Colorado/8th location around 7:00 (on my way to play City Park), there is never a wait. You have to get there early.

Or, you could wear a Rockies' shirt, wait for 30 minutes, and have the manager tell you "everything is taken care of- get whatever you want." I assume he thought I was an athlete.

snooze took forever. it was good but i'd rather go to steuben's and wait less for awesome brunch and stellar bacon infused vodka bloody marys

and definitely go to my brother's bar and order the JCB. you will not be disappointed

I've only had lunch and dinner at Steuben's. I had either their cheeseburger, philly, or cuban probably 15 times last summer as they bring a truck to Civic Center Park for lunch every Tues/Thurs in the summer. All of their food is outstanding.

Pagliaccis for itailian food can not be beat.

Sausage and mushroom gnocchi is gonna stop my heart eventually.

Proud when are we golfin?

I really like Pagliacci's, but I haven't been there in a long time. Our italian usually consists mainly of pizza nowadays. If you're ever down south, I highly recommend Big Bill's Pizza or Parry's Pizzeria (50+ great craft beers on tap).... probably the two best pizzas I've ever had outside of NYC.

I'm always down for golf. I play just about every Friday around 12-1. I can often get in a Saturday or Sunday round too. What area do you live? I am in Lone Tree but work downtown.

dbtexasag05

Highlands ranch. Let's play next Friday. City park?

Can't play next Friday/Saturday, as I'll be at a BBQ contest in Frisco. I could possibly play next Sunday. I can probably play the following Friday, but it would need to be near Lone
Tree.

Just think- people in my office were calling me crazy for playing golf today in 91* and 20% humidity. I never even sweated.

I soaked my hat with sweat every round I played in Florida and Alabama 3-4 weeks ago.

Highs are 75 again starting on Monday. If you get hot here, go the mountains where it's 15-20 degrees cooler.

just got home from snooze. benny and a pineapple pancake. seriously, there might not be anything better tasting on earth than that pineapple pancake. now it's time for a real snooze after all awesome food.

oh...and we got there at 8:15 and it was already a 30 minute wait

The pineapple pancake is my favorite. I drove by the Colorado/7th location around 11:30, and there were at least 50 people waiting outside. It's been way too long since I've had Snooze, but I'll try my best to get there by 7:00 the next time I go.

If you haven't been to Syrup, their breakfast burrito is amazing. So is their french toast.

I still like Lucille's. I haven't had a Colorado breakfast in a while.

The wife and I also like Great Beginnings off of i25 and Lincoln. Get a cinnamon roll.

Where is Great Beginnings? I often exit Lincoln from 25 going to work.

Sams No. 3 is really good. Everything I've had there is at least above average. They have American, Greek, Mexican, and more. Their burritos are awesome, and the mac n cheese is great.

Great Begginnings is a breakfast joint over behind that 7 eleven or circle k or what ever the hell gas station is over there.

Great breakfast.

On second thought, I know where GB is. If you haven't been to the philly place over there (South Philly, I think), I highly recommend it. It's the best philly I've had in Denver.

Also, have you been to Parry's Pizzeria in Highlands Ranch (University & HR Parkway)? THey've got 50 taps of microbrews and amazing pizza.

There's a good sandwich and soup place right by my office (Three Sisters). They have 8 soups per day. Their coconut chicken curry and tomato parmesian soups are amazing.

However, I'm thinking the sandwich/salad deal at Jason's Deli might be a better choice so that I can load up on egg whites. It's probably a good idea to limit calories until Friday and Saturday, when I will be eating BBQ nonstop.

First off how's that barbecue.

Second parry's pizzeria was top shelf. Great recommendation.

Finally making my first scouting trip up to the area tomorrow. Sounds like the perfect time to come up for a look around.

I didn't appreciate Denver while I was working there but wish I was back there for the summer at least a couple of times a week. Enjoy it.

db,

The BBQ was great. SoonerBorn made some of the best pork and brisket I've ever had, and the ribs were damn good too.

What did you have at Parry's? We usually get the Summer of 2010 (pepperoni, spicy sausage, and jalapenos), but the Cheeseburger pizza is great too. They do quite a few "tap takeovers" where local breweries come on a Saturday and have 10-15 specialty beers.
