Anyone have any recommendations for anywhere green where people normally play soccer in the DC area?

I have seen people playing on the lawn in front of the white house.. not sure where actual fields are unless you go to Arlington..

googling 'dc soccer league' gives you a multitude of choices.

There are pickup games in front of the white house and on the mall during the weekend on Saturday. There are also the new fields near Crystal City you could check out.

White House/elipse and the mall. There are proper field turf fields at the north end of Crystal City, but more organized matches than pick up matches. If I still lived in Crystal City, I'd definately be able to help organize some games. I still could give it a shot...

I've seen games at Gravelly Point, but its very, very hit or miss.

Capital Coed Soccer League, MDCVSA, and a few others leagues would be worth a look.
