Anyone in RI or ever lived there? Can I get Shiner Bock anywhere?

The nearest place to get Shiner is in New Jersey. But sometimes that is hit or miss. At times Delaware is the closest. Some of the Boston Ags usually have a stock.

As someone who lived and breathed Shiner Bock for 6 years, I can say this with all honesty: you will find a substitute and be thrilled with it!

I still LOVE me some Shiner Bock! I LOVE IT when I can get it!!!!! But, I have found others that I would miss just as much if I leave New England!

I agree with The above statement. Try Narraganset they make a bock it is an old Rhode Island brewer now in New York I think. Try New Port Storm's stuff not too bad their limited edition stuff is really good. If you are at the War College you are across the street from the brewery/ distillery, tour is good. Also Boddingtons sp? right down the street has some good brewed on site beer.
Also with a bit of a drive the best dive bar is called Track 84 it is across from Providence airport turn at the Wendys go to the dead end on the left. Trust me go in, you will want to turn around but it's well worth it. They have an awesome selection on draft and lots of bottles the owner is a beer geek, goes to Germany and Belguim for research.
And to answer your question the closest Shiner I found was a BBQ place in New York, New York.
