I am being transferred here at the beginning of the year, what is there to do here, cool bars/restaurants, Aggie HH? Also, anyone have a room for rent to an Ag in their mid 20's for a little while?

go to new orleans?

really that's all i got. I grew up going to BR often, I'd never dream of living there as an adult. My cousins (3) that grew up there left LA as soon as they finished LSU and never looked back.

I do not plan on staying long. I was transferred to do the same job at a different location, and I had been looking to change positions for a while as I don't like what I do. They think a change of location will help but when I got here it will be the same crap. I'm basically looking for a place for up to half a year, until I change careers in Houston.

I personally don't like Baton Rouge.

Perkins Row is nice and they have a Texas de Brazil there. Which is nice.

As far as bars, never go to Tiger Plaza. It's all minors. The Varsity has good concerts during the week occasionally so keep your eye open and you might see a Tx Country artist. Bulldog, Bogie's and downtown area aren't bad.

If you like Greek food there's a few good options in Baton Rouge. Much better than college station.

All in all. I still don't like Baton Rouge. I much prefer Lafayette or New Orleans.

The Texas Roadhouse is run by an Aggie. They'll be friendly.
