As said in the first reply, it depends on where you work and if you have a family with kids. The schools are best in Johnson County (IMO) on the Kansas side. I live in Overland Park and work in Olathe, both suburbs of KC in Kansas. I have lived here with my family for 5 years.

I know I didn't start this but I was hoping you could help me too.

Mid 30's, single, no kids. I've never actually lived in an apartment so I don't know if I want to start. I have dogs which is part of the dilema.

I would be working In the Argentine area, more specifically 635 and Kansas Ave.

And I don't know a soul in KC. I'm not a real big club person, more a fan of a bar. And I play Kickball and Softball in Ft. Worth but I don't know if I can do that anymore because I think i have to travel a bit...or a lot. Is the A&M club active?

I am not familiar with that area so I can't say if that is a good area to live or not. Kansas City, KS and that area in Wyandotte county is not a place I would choose to live based on what i do know about the areas. Johnson County is not too far away. Another option might be Parkville which is just over the Missouri river in Missouri.

We have an A&M club, though I have to admit I don't have time for many of their events. I have been to Muster here twice and would estimate attendance at ~30-40. You could find contact info at the Former Students website--name of our club is the Heart of America Club.

Sorry this might not too much help. I will checking again if you have anymore questions.

Mission area might not be too bad... Or north KC mo... Should be an easy commute anywhere near 635... I think one of the sports clubs is up near north KC

Being young/single I live around the plaza

Does anybody know someone who works for Garmin in Olathe? I applied for a job on their website but would like to try and get my resume directly to someone. It was in the sales department. Any help is appreciated.

I did a search on the Aggie Network site for Garmin employees in Kansas, and there is 1 Aggie (senior design engineer). I will send you his contact info if you leave your email address.

I actually already looked him up and sent him an email. He just left Garmin and didn't have any contacts in the sales dept. Thank you for the offer though.

Parkville is a pretty nice area with lots of stores, movies, etc. nearby. It is also an easy drive to downtown or especially to 635/Kansas Ave.

I used to live in the Gladstone area but had to get back to Texas. Good luck!
