I rarely post, and apologize for taking up space, but my wife and I are heading to NYC tomorrow. Besides the obvious landmarks, what should we do, and at what restaurants / dives should we eat?
If you want a really nice hip restaurant check out MISSION (Authentic Chinese) in the Lower East Side.
Long wait for the table but you get free beer while you wait. Food is amazing. Try their Brisket, broccoli and oyster sauce or their lamb shank. My co-worker raves about the Kung Pow pastrami but I've never liked pastrami so I havent had that myself. You cant go wrong at this place though. Everything is way different and not like chinese food youve ever had anywhere else
Also that neighborhood is awesome and has plenty of hot spots for all ages (21+) to hang out at after dinner
