Any Ags in Springfield or know much about the town? I'm being relocated there for a few months and have never been further north than Oklahoma City, so I have no idea what to expect other than its going to be cold as balls. Any helpful hints/tips for a clueless Ag?

Sadly, there's not much in Springfield. I've driven through it a few times stopping only to eat and once to hit up a Target. I keep meaning to drop down there when I have some extra time to go to the Lincoln Presidential Library though - I think all the Lincoln history could keep me busy there for a couple of months, but I'm a nerd.

Anyway, welcome to IL! The state sucks for the most part, but there's a great group of Ags if you make your way up to Chicago while you're here - and you should because while IL is pretty awful for the most part, Chicago is awesome!

I definitely want to make a visit to Chicago. As an Astros fan, I've always wanted to check out Wrigley Field. I definitely plan on experiencing all I can for the time I'll be there. Maybe I can run in to some of you Ags when I'm there and we can share a beer or 2.

I live about a 25 minute walk from Wrigely Field. Are the 'Stros coming to town now that they're in the AL? I know the Rangers have a three game set in April. I'm a big Rangers fan so I'll probably be using all of my baseball budget on that series. I'm happy to try to grab a beer if you come up though. When you think you might be in town, put a message on the Chicago A&M Club facebook page and you'll probably get several takers.

Thanks ChiTown. I don't think the Stros are coming to town this year, but I honestly don't care who the Cubbies are playing. I just want to experience Wrigley. I'll definitely keep in touch if I make my way up to the city. Thanks for your advice!

In addition to Lincoln Library you can see Lincoln childhood? home and Frank Lloyd Wright homes. Although a bit north of Springfield, if you like outdoors I'd check out Starved Rock.
