I just received an internship for the summer in Florham Park, New Jersey. I know it is a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone could recommend a place to live (cheap). I am provided a check for housing/ food/ etc expenses, but the housing is so expensive it will leave little for anything else. Any thoughts?

No way to avoid expensive rent in and around Florham Park. Short Hills, Livingston, Summit are all very nice so rents are going to more expensive than, say, the Oranges. All of these cities are, basically, on NJT which adds to the price.

Morristown has some not so great areas. I dont know much about Parsippany or out Mt Olive way. Seton Hall is in South Orange. I'm pretty sure rents cheapen when you go south towards Hillsborough (Rutgers nearby in News Brunswick) but you shuold make sure the neighborhood and distance is a good fit for you.

You can probably find a good short-term roommate deal or sublet with someone in Hoboken.

Live in Hoboken. Florham Park is one of the more expensive towns in the united states. Most of the giants and jets players & personnel live there, too
