I hope to be relocating from Aggieland to the Boston area. Any recommendations on moving companies? Any tips for making the transition from TX to MA?

We moved to NC last year and used Conlee-Garret in Bryan (http://www.garrett-moving.com/). They're affiliated with Mayflower and were great to work with - priced well, timely, and everything arrived at the new house in the same condition it left Texas in.

Good luck with your move. I personally love Boston...it is a great town.

Get used to the word 'wicked.' Natives use it a lot...'it's wicked cold outside,' or 'it's wicked hot outside.'

You don't take out the 'trash,' you take out the 'rubbish.'

Probably the one that confused me the most...a 'bubbler' is a drinking fountain.

Oh...and hope you're not a Yankees fan.

Thanks for the responses so far. I'm also looking at D&D as I used them for an in town move several years ago. They have moved a former colleague of mine from Aggieland to Nebraska. And they moved Ty warren from MA to TX, according to thier website.

I'm aware of the big difference in cost of living, culture and pace of life.

Another phrase from the area is "jimmies on my hoodsie"--(sprinkles on my Hood brand ice cream)
