What do you need? I've lived in Chattanooga 11 years...
Looking for networking/job contacts. I lived there for 2 years (2007-2008), but none of my contacts are working out for me so far.

Off the grid for a few days (and on my phone now). Let me know what you're looking for... I work for the big snack food company in Collegedale. We don't have many openings, but I've been here 11 years and have friends all over.
I'm looking for something in management, training and development, human resources, natural resources, or education. I have a pretty varied work background, but it has primarily been focused on training and development and management. I'm open to a lot of different fields; we are looking to move back to Chattanooga.
Feel like I was called out....

Ag Eng, just to make sure I have the correct person (it just has H as your last name), did you get two degrees at A&M and 1 at a school up North? (and, you currently have 215 connections?).

Now only if you knew a city council member in Chattanooga so I could get one of the jobs with the city I applied for there (I worked for the city of Chattanooga in 2007-2008).
Knoxville has a Chuy's. More than enough reason to get up there every so often. There's a Pappasitos in Marietta (100 miles from my house). BBQ in TN is ok but doesn't compare to TX. EMc- let's find a way to get together when Zoo and cart are on the scene.
Yeah, the Chuy's in Knoxville ain't quite the same as here in Austin, but much better than anything they call "Mexican" in TN.

There is an Abuelos in Chatt. It is ok.
We do need to get together. What we might do is I will fire up the smoker and do a brisket, etc. I even have some Lone Star I keep on hand for those days!

I'll be in Chattanooga on Monday and Tuesday doing some networking. So, if any of you guys wanna have lunch, that would be cool (I've discussed with AgEng already).
I know Chattanooga very well (lived there 2007-2008) and I'll have a car to use for the entire time. I would have to work it around my interview on Monday, which would be 10:15-10:45 or so.

It is a phone interview, so I can meet wherever.
AgEng, since you are in Collegedale, what works for you. Somewhere in between would be Hamilton place area??? About equal distance for both of us?

I'm here now wrapping up housing arrangements. Our move date is 8/15. If any of y'all want to get together for the Rice game, I'm in. It doesn't have to be in Chattanooga. I'm wiling to travel (within reason).
