The wife and I were at Wallowa Lake in NE Oregon yesterday and took a tram ride up to the summit of Mount Howard at about 8,000 feet. Was wearing a TEXAS AGGIES tee shirt and an ATM ball cap. We were walking up a trail and met a woman on her way down. As we passed each other, she said "Well Gig'em" and kept on walking. Surprised me to say the least. Anyone with similar tales of Aggie recognition in other strange places in the US?

Saw a maroon "Gig Em" sign at a tiny bar in Antigua, Guatemala.

Not a "Gig'em" but I saw an "aTm" scribbled on a wall in the Colosseum in Rome.

I was walking on campus at NCSU a few weeks ago and saw a younger guy wearing an A&M shirt. I said "Gig 'em!" and it clearly took him a sec to process what I said.

Also ran into two lovely Aggies in Dublin's Heuston Station many years ago. I was in an A&M shirt, and they stopped me to say hi. I was with my then-girlfriend at the time... In retrospect, I should have left her and spent the day with those two Ags. Oh well...

a tiny island off gulf of Thailand

I exchanged "Gig ems" with a guy working at the airport in Rota (CNMI) last week. That was probably the least expected place. I also got a few in Saipan, Guam, and Germany.

Pier whatever today at the Americas cup in San Fran. I was wearing an ATM hat and my buddy had an aggie shirt on.

Got one on the subway in Singapore, and another in the Seoul/Incheon Airport.

On a street in St. Petersburg, Russia. (Not that odd, maybe, given all the O&G/Clear Channel stuff there...)
