I travel to Huntington, WV and Ashland, KY each week for business, so I'm bringing some coworkers down to Lexington for the game. We'll probably get into town around 7 and head for a bar/restaurant near Rupp. I found this thread via the search function because I'm trying to do homework on the place. Any advice is appreciated!

Try the Kentuckiana A&M club Facebook page. They're based in Louisville but have a Lexington subchapter that's pretty active.

I'm in Texas now, but I'm a Lexington native and spent 3 of the last 4 years there.

If you're looking for nice places to Han out, I'm a big fan of Da Sha's and it's attached bar Horse and Barrel right across the street from Rupp, good location and atmosphere, great bourbon selection at decent prices. Also recommend Winchells on Southland as a Buffalo Wild Wings alternative, and Pazzos Pizza Pub on Limestone for a giant slice of thin crust and a phenomenal beer selection (literally hundreds).

Yell loud for me and enjoy Lexington!

Just found out that De Sha's / Horse and Barrel has just closed. They got kicked out of their location by the landowners after 28 years. Very unfortunate, it was my favorite restaurant and bar in all of downtown Lexington.
