Howdy.
Charlie Shook, '91, needs a little help. Charlie and I went to high school together in Houston and then came to A&M. We both eventually graduated and when onto living pretty far apart. A couple of years ago, a spinal tumor and the loss of his business has wiped him out, but he can make it with a little help from the Aggie family. I know it must have been hard for him to ask for help.
If you can help with any amount, $5 or $10 would be super, please go to his 'fundme' page at http://www.gofundme.com/6gl4bg

my name is charlie shook. i am a graduate of texas a&m and have a beautiful wife and daughter who have been great since this all this happened. about 24 months ago i was diagnosed with a tumor inside my spinal cord. i had a great business going and life was great till i was told either take it out or i probably wouldn't be around much longer. i tried to sale the business, but during these hard times, with the economy and all, i just didn't have time and with my health being what it was, i just couldn't keep it going anymore. my landlord at the business sued me for past rent and future rent and won. i basically lost my business, my credit was great at the time that i have worked hard to keep even during the recession. i always paid my bills and employees first, that's how i was raise. i grew up loving to rodeo and still love the sport and all the people involved especially bull riding and the bronc riding. i have worked hard to take care of my family and raise my daughter with old fashion country values. i must be doing something right, she has been on the deans list every semester through the 8th grade plus continuing with helping us out. i will beat this , i just need some help in getting caught back up till i can get back on my feet. if any one would care to help it would be greatly appreciated. they say the damage is probably permanent, but i will be back. i learned don't ever give up and trust in god and i truly believe he has something in store for me. thank you very much for reading this. by the way i do like the other events also. could use some help from the timed event cowboys also. god bless.
