Any Ags out there? May be taking a job at NAWS China Lake and looking for pointers on making the transition from College Station/TX to the high desert.

My brother works there. There's more out there than you think, but if you're expecting a rousing nightlife, you should reconsider. Seems like plenty of outdoor activities, though you have to drive to Bishop usually. The town is very quiet, and feels very safe- they don't seem to put up with a lot of crap. Everyone that I've talked to out at the base loves working there, but like I said, it's a pretty substantial adjustment as it probably has even less than C-Stat when it comes to things to do.

If you haven't gone out there, you really need to. When you go, have someone take you to Mon Reve. Outstanding French restaurant owned by some guy from Paris. Why the hell he's there, I dunno.
