Anyone here care to chime in on the virtues or negatives of living in either Tulsa or Omaha? I am likely to have an offer in both places by the end of the week, and I know little about either (except the college world series, etc).

Any pros/cons on either would be greatly appreciated.

Thabks!

Not much to add here but since no one is chiming in…. Never been to Omaha but Tulsa downtown seemed nice enough (Andolini's Pizza was delicious) and several others have told me they really like it. The suburbs I drove through were pretty ugly/dumpy looking. That's all I got.

I can somewhat speak for Omaha. Nice area, big enough for many entertainment tours to stop by. Lots of apartments going in, schools are hit or miss. Omaha airport is small but flies to most major airports. Depends how cold you can tolerate as well. I'm in Lincoln, but would not mind living in Omaha

Also Runza is very good

We moved to Tulsa about three years ago for work and we absolutely love it. Big enough (Metro area of about 1MM) for everything you want but not Houston or Dallas big…Close to the Ozarks and a bunch of nice lakes in the area. We live in one of the suburbs (Bixby).

If you spell them backwards one is "A ****" and the other is "A Hamo" which is close to being a funny name 15 years ago.

That is about all I know about the two cities except that I don't really want to live in either one.
