The US is putting Chinese firms on our exchanges under higher scrutiny, we don't know their real financials yet, they may get delisted and the Chinese don't drink coffee like we do. It seems like an attractive gamble but I'm staying away - at least for another quarter and once if/when it's confirmed they aren't being delisted.

When I was in China it was a pain in the ass to get real coffee. No one drinks it. It's a tea culture.

It must have been awhile since you two have been to China. The last time I was there you couldn't swing a dead cat around without hitting a coffee place. The Starbucks stores had just as long of lines as you see in the states.

...but back to the OP... there's a lot of risk. You don't truly know the upside, since previous prices were based on phoney numbers. Plus it seems likely that if any Chinese companies are delisted this one would be singled out as one of the first to go.

True. Now that I think about it, it was over 10 years ago. Definitely doesn't feel that long!

This is my take too. We were in Shanghai last year, they have the worlds second biggest Starbucks.

Probably my most dramatic but luckily tiny investing mistake so far, super small investment but I put a few hundred bucks in when it was recommended by a lot of services. Not even worth selling at this point so...yeah.

It's probably worth a flyer at its current price though.
