If we can get this comprehensive federal privacy regulation in place Google will take a hit. It won't be GDPR but hopefully it will be close

Apple increasing privacy is already taking a bite out of them and Meta

Why not just buy QQQ if you want the big tech names? None of these guys are going to repeat their past explosive growth performance separate from the rest of the market.. especially with only $700 to invest. Over 40% of that index is MSFT, AAPL, AMZN, TSLA, and the 2 GOOG shares.

curious what your overall return is. I bought one 20 share chunk in early '17.. it was nice a year ago, now it's just under tripled, which is just ok for 5.5 years.

I have some chunks that are 8-10x. Mostly bought from 2012-2015ish if memory serves. Last years shares however are the first batches in which value has gone down for me. But long term, I think those eventually go back up to. Purely speculating from previous experience/history.

Hoping for both our sake's that price starts rebounding again. But if the next 10 years are anywhere close to the last 10 years, I will be ecstatic.
