Hey everyone, one of my employees wants to get some executive coaching, specifically around presentation style and skills. Does anyone here want to recommend an outfit that can do some coaching?

This is partially true. The practice is good but when someone give you a few pieces of coaching it can change your approach for the better, so still similar to sex. I had given 2-300 presentation and I took a 3 day class that really took me ton the next level

What was the course?

It's was a course was part of our corporate curriculum taught by a private consultant where you start with a topic of your choosing then you do the same presentation 6-7x on video . Then you got real-time feed back and strategies for fixing the issues including RBF

You know who does some good training is Korn/Ferry.

I took some of this earlier on when I got my first exec job (negotiated as part of the promotion). It has paid dividends for me and it was very helpful.

There is no substitute for experience and just having at bats, though. In my opinion, "bad" presenters just have to get over their own psychological issues.

I like toastmasters for people that are self starters but are in a fairly junior role where they don't get to present on a regular enough basis to gain experience and hone their skills

But I don't think it is a good match for the use an employer paid development program.


A developer wanting to get better at public speaking? Toastmasters all the way

A sales executive that is comfortable speaking in public but needs to get that something special that gives him stage presence? Toastmasters isn't the right option for that.
