The average American has zero precious metal holdings and the average American investor has less than 1% exposure.

There are many opinions in the space. For me, I buy some regularly, never in a panic, and have been since 2005. You can support a local coin shop if you have one or you can go online. I started online with California Neumismatics and APMEX but have found myself buying platinum gold and silver bullion and silver rounds from SD Bullion lately. I stay away from the graded coins and proofs because I want the most Troy ounces per fiat dollar I can get when I buy. Good luck

Nothing online. I'd like to have the silver or gold in hand. I haven't considered buying platinum. I would very much be a beginner in buying precious metals.

Lots of good online dealers that are very reputable and deliver good product. I'm sure you have some good local coin shops in your area as well. Are you in Texas?
