Buying a branch office of a consulting company that will be its entirely own entity towards the end of the year. What business credit card would y'all recommend that might have some nice perks for the owners?

I like the Chase Ink Preferred for the SUB and being able to combine the UR points with my personal card points. If travel is a reasonably large amount of business, AMEX Platinum Business is a good card for lots of perks.

Since I am self employed I use my personal Chase Sapphire Preferred card for business expenses then just do a reimbursement check each month or so.

If you're going to have more than just yourself on the account though this probably won't work for you.

Ya, it'll be two cards (one for each owner) and then an office card.

You can get a business and personal southwest rewards card and stack the two bonuses to earn 125,000+ reward miles and a companion pass.

But to truly answer what is the best depends on the spend levels, the categories of the spend, your goal such as cash or miles, etc.

I use a combination of all of the above. Use the SW card until the companion pass is earned then I cancel the cards so I can do it again in 2 years, then I have a Citi double cash in my name that I use for business and my wife has one in her name that we use for personal. 2% cash back for everything. Costco card for gas and travel/meals (4%,3%)

I use the chase business cards as mentioned because it can transfer UR points to your personal card. Very strong welcome offers worth over $1000. Depending on your spend categories there may be better cards. Lately I have been using the GM rewards card and the GM points from my organic spend have been enough to pay my truck note every month.

Unfortunately the personal GM card actually has better points earning so you have to do it and expense it.

When I started out in 2019, I did the AMEX platinum for two main reasons:

1)Traveled way more in 2019 and the travel perks are nice
2)They had an intro offer of free WeWork for a year which was way cheaper than buying it from WeWork

The WeWork deal died while everyone was working from home and the travel has since been significantly reduced. That said, I still have the card and it is the primary business card. Can issue regular AMEX business cards to employees and then you earn points as if they used your card.

I need to cancel my cards so I can reapply and get for '23-'24, any idea how long after cancelling I can apply for those same cards again?

You can get the bonuses every 24 months.

Any idea about how long needs to pass before canceling them and reapplying?

I got the bonuses over 24 months ago (think was like 32-34 months ago).

Not sure exactly, but this thread seems to indicate you must wait a short time. Maybe once you've received the final billing statement?

How often does southwest do the bonus miles offers?

They almost always have some bonus. The key is to wait for the right time to get enough points to earn the companion pass. Ideally in the beginning of a year. Worst is when you miss-time it and get $50k in December and 80k in January.

Don't they have a bonus sometimes where you get 100k? I did this several years ago but don't recall what we did. I'm guessing we got 2 cards and combined them. Wife has a business so we can get 80k there no doubt. Takes 125 k for companion pass correct? O believe the trick was for the bonus bill to hit on January billing cycle so you effectively get 23 months of companion pass.
