I bought both when they were way down yesterday and well this morning they are bouncing back. I don't recall anything like this, but I wasn't an active trader in 2008.

I'm up 16% and 11% in one day

For a lot of folks, the confidence that you gain in your own knowledge from accurately timing that dead cat bounce could easily be one of the costliest things they ever do.

I have to think with the JPM line they put in place on Sunday that they are the likely acquirer. FRC is a dang good bank and have to imagine JPM wants to fold their private banking franchise into JPM Private Bank.

everything I've read shows that FRC is a good bank with solid leadership, but people are panicking with these regional banks.

FRC is a good enterprise unfortunately, they're gonna need help to get through this. Banking is a confidence game and their uninsured deposit level is high.

I would think that SCHW is a good long term play. (I'm no expert) It just seems like they are in a good position as they consolidate TD Ameritrade accounts to see some additional efficiencies going forward that will positively impact net income. Seems like it is just on sale right now and should have a lot of room to move up over the next year or so.

The problem with SCHW was on their banking side with cash sorting risk.
