We are currently using Capital One but the location is about 20minutes from our house. We need to pull cash often to pay for cleaning ladies, lawn guy, and soon to be a nanny.

There are several bank locations much closer and was wondering if anyone would recommend one over the other.

Options are
- Wells Fargo
- Bank of America
- Frost Bank
- Regions Bank
- PNC Bank
- Woodforest National Bank

Additional Details
We usually keep around $15k between checking and savings at any given point.
Currently paying ATM fees $3.50ish per transaction to pay for our cash services.
We do like the Zelle feature from Capital one to pay for some things on occasion, and not sure if the smaller banks have such a service.

Appreciate any insight or recommendations!

When we lived there it was BOA. No issues with them and they have plenty of locations in the area

Go to Kroger/HEB, buy a Reeses peanut butter cup and get cash back instead of paying ATM fees.

Any idea the max cash back at those? I had thought about that, but never tried it.

Don't most places have no atm fees these days?

And every major bank has Zelle I think.

Personally would go frost or Woodforest if local but plenty of online banks with high interest and good features. I personally like SoFi.

Everywhere around here charges me $3.50 per pull cause I'm not a member of their bank. Capital one is all the way across town so it's not ideal hence I'm looking for new options.

Gotcha.

I would go with a big bank that has ATM's everywhere since you seem to withdraw quite often or get with a bank that covers ATM fees for other banks ATM's if at a certain $ threshold.

I would also move $$ over x amount to an online savings account to get 4-5%+ APY.

Give Frost a look. They have ATMs in most Walgreens and CVS stores now and are paying some decent interest, particularly on CDs.

Frost, Woodforest, I will add I have an account at Third Coast...they auto refund ATM fees. I rarely if ever need a branch and have a buddy/banker that works there if I need anything.

Outside the box answer - Sofi bank. They pay really good rates for their checking and savings accounts.. savings is currently 4.2 percent.. money can move seemlessly back and forth.

Through their ATM network, you get no fee access to cash at cvs or Walgreens ATMs. I switched from a local bank to them recently and do just that.. They will also pay you a bonus to switch with direct deposit..

I use Chime for my daily checking account. Also has the ATM network where I can withdrawal from Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, QuickTrip, etc.

Yeah, I have USAA and they credit any and all atm fees. Doesn't matter if it's a $2 fee at a local bank or a $10 fee at a casino in Vegas.

If you're using atms and your bank charges fees, switch.

This especially since OP sounds like he's going multiple times a month.

Look for highest % first then no ATM fees.

I just moved a lot of my stuff away from BofA to Marcus (by Goldman) - hard to beat 5.15% APY.

If you're "pulling cash" for those individuals, I'm gonna guess they are illegal aliens.

Lol good lord dude

Plenty of legal residents/citizens want cash

Not my job to make sure they are reporting it and I'm happy to pay cash if it means a discount

Lawn guys, anyone's guess if they're legal or not. They do a lot of yards in the neighborhood.

Nanny certainly isn't illegal.
