From Capital Farm Credit:

Congrats to MarathonAg12 - you're the winner! Please contact suzanne@texags.com to claim your prize!

Baseball season is in full-swing here in Aggieland, and the Aggie spirit continues to fill Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park during each home game. The Fightin' Texas Aggie Baseball team recently defeated the No. 4 ranked University of Florida Gators 15-2 in a seven-inning sweep. This exciting win marked the first Aggie series victory over the Gators in baseball since 2014.

Although the results of the high-scoring game can be attributed to the impressive performance of those at bat, this win would not have been possible without the stellar performance of the Texas A&M Baseball pitchers.

To celebrate the biggest series win of this year's baseball season, we are giving away a Capital Farm Credit Soft Pack RTIC cooler and two insulated Capital Farm Credit tumblers. To enter, comment below and tells us who holds the current world record for the fastest baseball pitch.

Google will tell you Aroldis Chapman at 105.1, but one time Bill Brasky threw 108.

I doubt the true record has been recorded correctly... To accurately account you would need to determine a common reference point for all speeds, Then the confusing part come with factoring in the all the extra pieces to get a common speed reference, humidity, windspeed, air pressure, flatness of the field, rotational speed (Earth's spin, Earths path around the sun, spin of of the milky way, Milky way's journery through the universe)... You know what, I think the actual speed number on the field gets lost easily in the noise of the rest of the calculations... So, everyone's a winner? Which really sucks...

Aroldis Chapman officially holds the Guinness World Record for fastest baseball pitch with a 105.8 mph fastball. On Sept. 24, 2010, the Cincinnati Reds' pitcher set the record with a high-velocity pitch against the San Diego Padres.

Other MLB legends are said to have thrown faster pitches than Chapman's, but with older, less reliable technology, it can be difficult to confirm the speed of a historic pitch. Thus, tales of Nolan Ryan's 108.1 mph fastball in 1974 or Bob Feller's 107.6 mph pitch in 1946 remain unofficial.

Would really love to have that cooler mine just but the dust last week.
