I have been using TD Ameritrade for a long time.

Of course, Schwab bought TD and are slowly moving TD customers to the Schwab platform.

I manage accounts for most of my family.

One of the accounts has transitioned to Schwab and the rest will later this year.

I don't care for the Schwab platform.

Any recommendations for other online brokerages?

Vanguard for long term index holding, Webull for trading

should be an easy transition since you've already soldout of everything ahead of this pullback right

most would consider <half rate of return of S&P to be below average

I just opened a fidelity account. changing platforms take a bit of an adjustment after basically decades on one.

Yeah, I was with Merrill Lynch for 10+ years, but switched last year after I couldn't ignore their politics any more.

If I had invested every penny five years ago in NVDA five years ago, I would be worth $35 million today.

as they say, hindsight is 20/20.

In the process of moving from ML myself due to many of the same reasons. Sort of a painful process but will be well worth it in the end.

Can you elaborate?

My CC, trading account, checking account and car note are all with BofA and ML. Don't know their politics and don't want to know, but would not be surprised if it runs counter to my beliefs. I like the Edge platform.

mainly just telling an old family friend has has managed some of our portfolio for many years that we were leaving. Then there was also an issue about setting new banking since we were loosing all the benefits we had at BoA through Merrill. Finally on these securities transfer you have make sure all of your historical cost bases come over properly.

What are the "politics"? I've used EDGE for 20 years, probably not the slickest platform but it works for how little I trade these days and gets me higher cash rewards on my BoA Visa.

THIS was the last straw for me.

Merrill also halted trading in several meme stocks including AMC and GME to protect institutional investors when others (like fidelity) kept them open

glad I am not the only one!

I can't stand the Schwab platform for my current corporate 401K

I love the Fidelity brokerage platform I have used for my after tax account for a dozen years now.

Just curious, what's people's issue with Schwab?
