Just started with new company and they asked me to find a software to help employee onboarding. I don't think they want a full HR system. Any suggestions, it is for a contractor?

I was tangential to this once and involved in this kind of decision. Things to consider will be how well it integrates with applicant tracking or if it has its own applicant tracking. Then consider downstream. How does the data flow into HR, talent management, ERP, etc?

ETA You could always ask a consultant like Tilson or Plante Moran with some experience for a recommendation on what to look into. Could be worth a couple hundred bucks or they may give you a quick consultation for free just to try to build a business relationship.

Disagree here. Our company did this and everyone hates it.

we are a newer contractor that will double to 100M in size this year and probably grow 30% next year. Massive growth and trying to help build a foundation for them. First goal is to make the hiring of electricians easier as they need to hire 100. They are fully remote company so no offices. Unique business model.

I use Gusto and have zero complaints with it

We use Rippling. I have no idea if this meets your use case as I generally do everything in my power to avoid HR related activities.

I like Rippling as well, they were probably my favorite but I ended up choosing Justworks. Rippling didn't make sense at the time as we didn't have enough people to fit on their group insurance policy, but I'm wanting to revisit that soon.

How is the pricing? It seemed like they have a low entry point but the pricing seems a bit misleading as many of the products are "add ons" that potentially add up to a lot.

I'm not sure as I'm just a user of it. I will say its easy to use though.

2nd user of rippling. From the employee side it was easy and streamlined.

I like they have an app too.

Do you all track time for hourly employees payroll through the app / platform?

Anyone use eddy? Liked the demo. I will look up rippling.
