Howdy everyone, my brother and myself are designing/building a piece of management software to aid cooperatives in their day to day field service management, line work, data logging and communications needs.

We are heading into actually programming the software and making this thing a reality. I'm looking for contacts in Texas that I can pitch to and receive feedback to validate and improve our product. I work in system operations for a cooperative, and due to that experience, we believe that is where we can create the most value. We look forward to speaking with anyone who can lend a hand!

Curious if there's a reason you're designing it instead of opting for configurable off the shelf field service options such as Servicemax, etc?

Best of luck in your process!

We want to make all the money. But in detail, this software is incorporating several custom options specifically tailored to commercial line work that is not currently available. I'm not saying it's this amazing apple level ground breaking deal. Howvever, I've noticed in my own position, several processes and functions need to be digitized and elevated to the technological advancements that the distribution portion of the electric industry has adopted.

Paper has its place, and for years there has been good reasons such as redundancy, but we are beyond so many of those constraints that I feel like it's just the idea that's holding this up, not a reality.

Thank you for the encouragement, it has been a trying process but extremely rewarding with every step we take.

The cooperatives are all heavily involved in Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA). Two conferences per year (next in April) bring a lot of key folks together.

Thank you Cody, 250 is a cheap ticket to get in the door and gain access to their forum, great information! Do you work in the power industry?
