Would paint protection on a vehicle be considered a write off? I drive off and on around construction sides, sometimes dirt roads. I don't want a rock chip damaging the paint on the SUV. Plus protecting against door dings in parking lots.

Would this be considered an eligible write off?

Are you taking any deductions for business use of the vehicle already? If so, how? Actual expenses or standard mileage rate?
