What are good sites to research some index funds and etf besides morning star. Looking to get more involved with these in 2024.

Smart.

FA told me years ago to do just that. I'd be a lot richer today if I would have just listened to her.

VOO is excellent too.
VDE was good when oil prices and stocks were down.

Curious what the 30 year return on this would be if purchased in 2003. Would like to compare it to my land purchase in 2003.

Thanks. I think I'll stick with land deals. But damn the capital gains taxes. I assume they would be the same with a great stock pick though.

Too bad you can't do a 1031 exchange with stocks…

That would be nice. Tried to find a property this year in my target area comfort zone but could not get a deal to work. The timeline and requirements on the 1031 are pretty strict. Just wish they were similar to the 1033 exchange regs.

Do any of yall invest 100% in ETFs? Like VTI and VOO. They're always popular picks on this board. Is anyone throwing. 100% if their account(s) into these ETFs?

I would say 75-80% of my portfolio is in VTI. The rest is in a mix of cash, bonds, dividend stocks, international index fund.

We've done very will with IVV and QQQ. However, my biggest winners have always been individual stocks. COOP has been a consistent winner for several years and I expect 2024 to be no different.

That doesn't even take into account dividend yields either. It's an excellent ETF.
