Does anyone have any experience with a service, plan or DIY of cards stacks and strategies to max points?

Yes. Hit up Colin Stroud at "gosomewhere dot world" or LinkedIn

He's big on LinkedIn (where I found him awhile back). He handles all my stuff. I paid him a one time fee of $600 and he tailored a strategy for me and then planned/booked the first two trips. After that you will figure it out or can keep him on retainer if you just don't have the time/want to worry about planning it all.

Like churning credit card bonuses? If so, Reddit has a good group: (lyou could just ookup thier flowchart, and choose your own path accordingly (cash, points, or miles, etc)

AI is actually pretty good at this sort of thing. You could probably just copy paste your last months statement and ask it to break out your expenses into categories and ask if there is any card that will get you better than 2% based on the categories you spend the most on.

I have a self compilated arsenal:

AMEX BCP 6% on grocery
max 6K annual , only one with a fee $95 but I max it out by putting all groceries, gas (ARCO gift cards), and Amazon gift cards from grocery stores on it

CITI Custom cash 5% on restaurants/bars
$500/month max, could also opt for other categories monthly like if buying a flight

Elan Max Cash 5% on utilities/cable/internet chosen categories
Elan Max Cash 5% on gym/entertainment(event tix) categories

BOA Cash Rewards 3% online purchases chosen category

BILT 1% pts on rent, 3% restaurants, redeem for higher value airline pts transfers

CITI DC 2% everything else- to be replaced by Robinhood Gold 3% as soon as can get off damn waitlist

so averaging prob close to 4% on all common spend, a few are on bill autopays so usual day to day just choosing either the Amex grocery, Custom Cash restaurants, or Double Cash for other

edit - finally got approved for Robinhood Gold Card today, only 10K limit when most of my other ones are 25-40K

I had a much different experience with Colin. I also saw a bunch of stuff on linkedin and thought it was interesting. I booked a consultation with him, paid several hundred dollars up front. I emailed him several times and reached out through linkedin....the emails were returned by his email provider as undeliverable. The linkedin messages were never read. The consultation appointment came and went with no contact from Colin. Still waiting on the credit card dispute to complete so I can get my money back.

I've churned quite a few cards...usually find one offering a good bonus and buy a bunch of Walmart/Costco/amazon gift cards to qualify for the bonus in the first month.

My main card is the Chase United card...travel enough where the free bags easily pays for the annual fee.

We also have Walmart/amazon/Costco cards and basically just use them at their respective store. WM and Amazon are 5% cash back, Costco is 2% cash back and 5% at the pump

There's people willing to pay $35 for Jimmy Johns every day because some guy with dreads riding a bike will deliver it directly to their office.
