Aquira DeCosta, a 6-foot sophomore forward, is leaving the Baylor program and entering the transfer portal, according to a Tweet she posted Tuesday night.

She is no longer listed on Baylor's roster.

DeCosta was the Class of 2018's No. 3-ranked player overall by ESPN's HoopGurlz. She's from St. Mary's High in Stockton, California. Last season, when Baylor won the national championship, DeCosta saw action in 24 contests, averaging 3.0 points, 1.9 rebounds and 6.9 minutes per game.

"I would also like to thank my former teammates and the staff as well for taking me in and treating me like family," DeCosta wrote on Twitter. "I will always love y'all. I have found it in my best interest to enter my name into the transfer portal and start off fresh at another program."

DeCosta and three other sophomores -- NaLyssa Smith, Queen Egbo and Caitlin Bickle -- didn't play in Baylor's exhibition opener against Langston on Oct. 25. Coach Kim Mulkey did not provide a reason.
