I figure the first question would be where was Carter since she was not on the bench.

Anyone know?

I don't think she was with them at Alabama either
Not sure what the reason is and I hate to speculate as to why

This was the only mention in the postgame:

Quote:

Senior Guard Jasmine Williams
On the team coming together while Chennedy Carter is out
"I think it is really important, within the culture of our program to know that at any given moment, like I said a long time ago at the beginning of the season, it could be your turn. You just need to be ready, be preparing in practice every day as if someone could fall. Everyone knows the plays, everyone knows what positions they need to run. We are just rallying together as a team while she's out and doing our best and I think we're doing alright."

Re Bama, Blair said it was better for Carter to rehab back home in CS than travel
To not be on the bench to support her teammates for a home game is very different and the question needs to be asked and answered!

Not sure if anyone noticed the game Carter went down in front of the other teams bench:

Not one Coach, Teammate, Radar, Ref, Opposing Coach, or Fan approached her while she lay on the court. Carter helped herself up and walked off the court up to the bench before a Teammate helped her to the locker room. This is telling that nobody wanted anything to do with her. At least have Radar check a player out who's in pain.

She's in Blair's doghouse.

This is garbage and you should be embarrassed to introduce it here. Chennedy has been a great teammate this year and last year. The only trouble was as a freshman with 2 girls who were selfish and wanted to be "the star". Call it jealousy or whatever you want but where are those other two now who chose to leave A&M to be a star and where will Chennedy be after her college career is over?

Chennedy made a basket against LSU and went down. The injury wasn't obvious because it involved her landing. A foul wasn't even called. LSU threw it in immediately and play went the other way to the opposite side of mid court before the refs stopped play. No one knew how injured she was. I don't think anyone even thought it was going to be serious at that immediate time. Ciera went down to the other side of mid-court and helped her come back and then N'dea joined before they made it to Radar. Radar could have been quicker but it isn't like a lot of trainers are particularly fast. I saw an injury for the other team this year where the head coach had to ask their trainer to go tend to a player because the trainer didn't see it even though the rest of the arena did see it. Radar isn't watching the game like a coach. He got there as quick as he could.

What and embarrassing and shameful take on this topic.

I will echo Gap's comments. Nothing about that play would have stopped play right away with LSU in control of the basketball.
I have no idea of her timetable to return but hopefully when she does she will be completely healthy for a big deep run

My apologies. As a long time WBB supporter, hope I'm wrong.

For what it's worth - after Carter got hurt and was sitting on the bench with the boot on - towards the end of the game as LSU was staying ahead, Carter took the boot off and put her shoe back on. She just kind of sat there and grinned up at Blair when he walked by. I think he just shook his head at her, but my impression was that she would have gone back in if needed.

He said at the next radio show he had a play to use her as a decoy - there was NO WAY she would have actually been able to play

I just found Blairs post game video on The Eagle.com. The very last question he is asked about Carter and says they made a decision for her not to travel to Alabama and stay on and get treatment on her ankle. Then he makes a comment about football and men's basketball injury policy. He also said he'll see who shows up Thursday. Here is the link (I hope it works)

He totally avoided the question re Carter as it pertains to today's Mizzou game.
Sounds like he has no idea whether she will ever be back. Wonder if she went home this weekend?

This presser was after the Mo. game...........He has been saying the same thing for 2 weeks....
just as they do in all sports......game time decision.....on a sprained ankle it is one thing to walk and another to jump up in air and come down with the weight on your ankle......think about how Carter shoots......she is always
about 2/3 feet in the air and half the time she lands and ends up on her ass.....that is alot of shock on your ankle......

Seems like there is a little advantage in keeping other teams guessing since there are only so many practice hours in a week. Maybe she is exploring having the same surgery that Tua had. And isn't Gary limited in what he can say due to medical privacy rules? Gary said today that the post players need to stay out of foul trouble and I think we can compete with most anyone if we can do that. BTHO Georgia Thursday!

agree Garry cannot say very much about a medical problem....

and trust me he will keep the other coaches guessing as long as he can

I hope we are all overreacting to Carter's absence, and I truly feel that we are. I would have loved to have seen her on the bench supporting, but let's be honest, she is a phenom and perhaps a bit of a distraction. I think staying away keeps the team focused because they know she cannot lace up her shoes and bail them out. I'm sure she was in the building or the locker room watching. We are a much stronger team with her on the floor, but it's nice to see the team stringing together some wins and scoring in the 70s without her.

Really doubt she was in the locker room or the arena. If she is still part of this team, her place is on the bench with the team unless she has the flu or been given a pass from GB to be out of town for whatever reason...be it family or medical or whatever.

My point has NOTHING to do with GB commenting on her medical condition! The point was and still is why she was not with her team vs Mizzou in a home game> She was with the team last year in the SEC tournament when she could not play! The Bama game made sense to stay home. The question is still about Mizzou...period.

FWIW...GB said at the end of the Mizzou presser after the game...."we will see who shows up to play on Thursday"

Guess you can interpret that however you wish.

Re the radio show tonight, I doubt Blair will address Carter unless he takes a question from the audience.
Doubt the host will ask him anything related

Understand. My point is there is no point speculating bc we do not know. But I am curious as to why she would not still be part of the team? Or are you thinking she's just quitting to make sure she is rehabbed and ready for the draft? If that were the case, we know how hard it is to keep secrets regardless of HIPPA etc. I believe word would have trickled out. Personally, from what I've seen of Chennedy, she just loves the game too much to be gone for long. I think she is anxious to return. Hope I'm right.

IDK, But Blair ducked the question re the Mizzou game and went right to his talking points re Bama which was old news.
