After being a season ticket holder for 12 yrs., I opted out for this year and have watched every game on line
or on tv.

If you have been attending the games in person, what is it like? I know there is social distancing and masks required. I see dance team and yell leaders in the stands. I do not recall seeing or hearing the Hullabaloo band.
So, I guess all recorded dj music? Any concessions? Still free parking? No candy from Coach!

Again, what is it like? Instead of 3-4K attendance as in seasons past, are we drawing even a 1K?
Thinking of attending the MSU game at noon this Sunday.

thanks

Yes DJ music, concessions, free parking. No Hullabaloo band. Yell Leaders behind the South basket, dance team on a platform next to them (but on the jumbo tron during the dances). Ushers walk down the aisle during every time out to check mask wearing, even though we are socially distanced. Players in the locker room during the National Anthem, followed in succession by Spirit and War Hymn (so you might as well remain standing). Smaller crowd and smaller noise (remember we're also masked) but otherwise pretty similar, including lack of student attendance.

no band, concessions don't accept cash, ushers will enforce masks even if you're trying to eat. all tickets are digital

they have spread out everyone, nobody is anywhere close to the court, no courtside seats, they have take out 15 or so rows behind the benches.

I thought the crowd was good for UK, loud, but not not loud like it would have been under normal situations.

what everyone else has said. The Reed staff are only supposed to tell you ONCE to mask up. 1st game I got taken to task for eating M&M's with my mask off by a Reed usher. She then said '3 times & you will be kicked out'. The Weiss staff walk up & down the stairs and stare at you at times. AFAIK we've not broken 1000 attendance yet. Would LOVE to see a bigger crowd on Sunday! (and 1/31 for the 10 year National Championship celebration)

I'm all for safety, but how do you eat/drink with a mask on? Serious question. LOL

take a bite, put mask on, chew, pull mask down, take a bite, put mask back on. If not you will be scolded and like above ejected after 3 warnings. On north side they have ushers at the bottom watching the crowd for anyone that isn't wearing mask every second. with the blocked off seats and the benches they aren't watching the south side as much. I've seen across the court people going entire quarter without a mask because they aren't watching that area as much as north side.

YUP. Now I basically pull the mask down/out & put whatever I'm eating IN my mouth. I've not bought anything to drink @ Reed yet. Too much of a hassle IMO

Usually this time of year everyone is complaining about the lack of a crowd. Winter break etc. I actually thunk the crowd was pretty good.

DJ is louder than normal.

We have not had any problem w/ mask police when we're eating/drinking. I have not seen anyone else have issues either. We have men's and women's tickets and we typically get food or popcorn. No problems with pulling the mask down and leaving it down when eating.

The only frustration I've had is at men's games where the mask police want us to show our tickets when we enter the door to our section. If you're carrying food/drink it's awkward to pull out the phone, find the app, find the right tickets, etc. This hasn't happened every time, seems to depend on the individual mask police person.

I'm a men's season ticket holder. The guy who patrols 221 is a weasel, believe me. It's hard enough to watch the guys play sometimes but this guy is overboard.
Peace for Ukraine!
