Despite the OT loss at LSU, we are now 5-0 vs. ranked teams

bu lost to ISU in Waco for their second loss. they had lost to the Arky team we beat.

We sould move ahead of bu into 6th!

Stanford won't drop far and will be ahead of us. But it shows the #1 team losing on the road
to a team that was 5-6. now 6-6 with the win.

Kind of helps ease the pain of our LSU loss.. Never thought we would go undrfeated.

Look who still comes to Reed this year.....

UT in the makeup game not yet scheduled
Georgia
Mizzou
USC to end the SEC season and hopefully clinch the crown for our Aggies

We control our desting and will likely need to beat USC in the last SEC game to be the champs. Likely can't afford another loss prior to that game. That will be tough.

I think Coach can have us peaking at the right time!

They were mentally ready to not only shake off the road loss to LSU (always a tough place to win...LSU has a lot of pride), but also handle post-Vic State.

Looked like a complete game to me. Thirteen saw the floor all for at least two minutes of PT. Starters were around 30 minutes with only Pitt's in double digit minutes at 15. Was surprised by no points for Destiny. But we didn't need any today from her. Always enjoy Ella finding a way to score and her line basket was canny (at least I think it was she moving under the basket and putting up a scoop shot.)

This team seems to be communicating better today than any team since 2011. Not just on defense but on offense.

The communication didn't drop off when subs came in. This is significantly different than past years.

I'm loving this team. I sure hope we get to have some playoffs game at Reed!!

That first half with a suffocating defense (helped somewhat by Miss State being cold) surely provided a great half, even when our offense was cold. I really liked seeing so many get playing time. A fun game.

This was the ranking that surprised me the most also. It would be interesting to hear some of the thoughts about why UCLA is considered 6th best and why they would drop Stanford down to #5. I was thinking Stanford would come it at 3 behind Louisville and North Carolina State.

In the new "net" rankings to be used for NCAA tournament rankings, we moved down to 15th.
UK is ahead of us with 3 losses, one of which was a 17 point beat down by our Ags, and theiir star,

agree....if Stanford is #1. losing on the road in OT moved them to 5th....crazy although
CU is unranked, So is LSU and that OT loss really hurt us in the rankings. My guess is long term, the loss may help us understand we have to show up and play harder than the other team every game, plus hit free throws and limit turnovers.

Agree - these "net" rankings don't really make sense to me. We've had more wins and more quality/ranked wins than anyone in the top 10 and yet we are ranked 15th in that form? I'm confused, but I also don't care to do all the research to understand why and will just wait and hope and pray it works itself out. LOL

I'm more confused by the Net rankings than any previous model. I just can't figure out what it values. It doesn't seem like number of wins, number wins over ranked, head to head wins, and streaks have much impact.

I think it's for the committee to genuflect to when they announce selections. It is not transparent at all. And apparently has not yet been fully re-engineered effectively.
