All TN players crash the boards hard

Kentucky was winning in the first half by pressing TN and creating turnovers but that has been slowed thus far

Currently TN leads 41-38 in the 3rd

TN leads 47-46 at end of 3rd quarter

KY went to a zone the last few minutes and that seemed to cause some missed outside shots that allowed KY to creep back into it

Kentucky blew their doors off in 4Q by a score of 25-9.

KY outscored TN 23-9 in the fourth and finally started hitting outside shots

It seems that TN's defense is willing to give up outside shots and if you push the ball against them you can score

It should be noted that TN was missing it's best player Davis who will probably play against us on Sunday

I watched the SC vs Missouri game as well. SC does not shoot free throws very well. They also don't seem to shoot from the perimeter well. Their bigs are pretty incredible though. Ciera and N'Dea will have their hands full.

I just read through the Lady Vols message boards and they are RABID lol!! If you think we sometimes get negative it doesn't even compare. If you have a moment, check it out. lol

In comparing season stats with the Vols, we shoot the ball better in all phases...fg%, 3 ball % and ft %.
Both teams hold thier opponents to 59 ppg. UT out rebounds their opponents by 7 more per game than we do,

I think we have a little more team speed. Both teams can go 8-9 players. We need to get the rebounds and get down court before UT sets up their D. If we can stay close on the boards, hopefully we shoot a liiltle better than UT to win the game. We need to be pretty close at the half as we tend to play better on the end in front of Coach Blair.

Whether Davis, their top scorer. makes the trip or not will be a huge factor.

Good question. Is there enough time to play the game and fly out back to Tennessee before the bad stuff hits

Tennessee will be in town today. The game will definitely be played as they will be here.

Any advantage in moving it up from 2 pm to something like 11 am?

TV may control a time change for the game. I think it will stay at 2 pm CST.

Man, you weren't kidding. After the game, I wasted 20 minutes of my life reading the A&M/TN game thread. All 28 pages!!! The mods over there don't care what anyone posts.
