Don't jinx us lol - but I agree. I do believe many of the games have been closer than in the past, though. The 1-3 line games have not be very close, though. Praying we show up with a workers mentality today and take care of business.

It's early. But it is also in my mind caused by, among other things, general disinterest by men in watching women's games. I've stated I enjoy the game because it generally is played where I played basketball: under the rim. That arguably was the original design of the game. It is a more strategic game and we rarely see it become a pure isolation game even in the WNBA.

I think it will be hard to equalize coaching spend, but doing so would attract more men in and could free up more men's coaching spots for women especially if the NCAA presidents required it.

But I doubt it ever makes as much as men's basketball at the college level in part because the combination of more height, higher center of gravity, greater average musculature, and to be honest aggressiveness is hard to match from a spectacle standpoint. The draw from eventual NBA players also impacts the game in favor of the spectacle.

The only fix then is to do what we did; exactly equal facilities though separate. And best available coaching regardless of source. And rewarding coaches for winning. There is little proof incentives help. The quality of the character of the coach determines the outcome. But rewarding well gets attention.

Blair isn't Geno. Gary arguably did something harder. Made a non-basketball school a basketball school setting expectations for both the women and the men going forward.

this is fail job by them, their coach should take some heat. They are senior laden team.

But I thought they acted very cocky and whined a lot when we beat them in F'ville.
