I am a die hard in most everything. Golf being one of them. Nothing pisses me off more than a sandbagger!!!

Your literally cheating.

I did just 3 minutes of digging on Troy, and that has to be the biggest sandbag job in history!! Good Lord I want some Freaking answers!!!!!!!

Troy was 22 and 5, won their conference and was on a 10 game winning streak. That's nice you say.

They were #3 in the country at 86 points a game in scoring offense.!
They forced 19.5 turnovers per game. 3 behind ncaa #1.
They were #11 in assists
They were #1 in free throws made.
They were # 1 in Defensive rebounds
One of their players was 7th in the country in rebounds.
They were 18th in point differential, your Aggies were 17.

I am sure there are more!

How in Gods name did they get seeded 15?

I want some freaking answers???? Who on the committee says the the #3 scoring offense with the #1 Defensive rebounding team and conf champs is a 15 seed? Seriously????

Also, all you griping about this win. This was a hell of a win, that team could do some damage in this tourney... not sure if we play them again we win.

They had a low seed because they were not good in the non-conference. They lost to Alabama A&M and then by 27 to Mississippi St. Afterwards, they dominated the Sun Belt but there isn't a name program in there that garners a lot of respect.

I don't know how good they were but do acknowledge that a team can be better in March than they were in December.

SOS tells the story nehind the #15 ranking.

Best win? #159 Louisiana (Conference Championship Game)
2nd best win? #214 Chattanooga

Worst loss? #255 Ga Southern

They wouldn't have made the tournament if they didn't win the conference tournament championship.

Compare that to the Ags..
We have 10 (!) Top 50 Wins.

I agree with you. They were under seeded, and any team that wins 22 games is going to be a tough out, but their SOS killed them. I'm pretty sure I read that they only played one power 5 school (Mississippi State) and lost to them by 30 points. However, a lot goes into a season and we have no idea if they played injured in their losses, had COVID issues, etc. In the Mississippi State game they were out scored 36-14 in the first quarter but played them pretty even the rest of the game. In the rest of their games, they didn't blow anybody out. It looks like an average margin of victory of around 10 points. Don't quote me. I didn't do the math. I think we came across a team that got hot and played out of their minds, took advantage of our bumbles, and played more physical than I've seen a team play all season. I cannot count how many bunnies and layups we missed on 2 hands and the untimely turnovers were almost catastrophic. They tossed up crazy shots and they all fell. Even that charge Jordan took towards the end the athlete just thru the ball in the air and it banked in. You mentioned rebounding and I think that's what surprises me the most. We didn't box out and they just crashed the boards. It left them open and exposed in the back a lot and we pushed the ball down the court quickly and missed a lot of easy shots for some reason. It just seems we played into their game. I was also surprised to hear GB say even before the game this would be a track meet. I thought he would have attempted to control the tempo a bit more.

At any rate, we won. Let's keep dancing and praying and cheering them on. I hope we get just as hot as they were. Maybe it's contagious.

ISU should be a better matchup. Troy was a smaller, quicker helter-skelter style like we haven't seen, flying around, crashing the boards. Yes, their rebound stats are great, and knowing that ahead of time, all the more reason why our rebounding performance was embarrassing. Lots of contact, some of which was called. At times it looked like a pin ball game, with our girls the barely-moving posts and Troy the bouncing balls. Unbelievable how much their press rattled us. Defense was horrid at times, and Gary couldn't come up with offensive sets to settle us down.

GB addressed the offensive sets. He said the team wasn't running the plays and were going to the second and third options when the first options were clearly open if they'd waited one or two more seconds. Looks as if the team was just unsettled and weren't used to this style of play.

No excuses. Troy played lights out.

We were flat and given a #2 seed, I thought we'd be more motivated.

If we play like this, we won't go very far.

That being said, let's hope this is a motivator because these Woman's teams are very competitive

Troy was hardly "hot". They couldn't buy a 3, yet we were very fortunate to win this one. I hope it was a wake up call.

Troy looked like a good team to me. Our girls looked good too and did not look like they were looking past Troy. Troy was impressive, it was not a lack of effort from our team.

Troy played like it was their championship game and they could win. They played with tremendous energy and clearly in spite of holes in their game were well coached and emotionally centered throughout the game. The first time we really saw cracks were on the calls like the charge against Nixon which was a 50-50 call. Very little risk for Nixon. Tremendous for the player that fouled out.

The seeding has as much to do with how they view the conference schedule challenge and remember the shortened out of conference "pre-season" made the NET unreliable for the inter-conference comparisons as Blair noted in a Q&A.

I don't think we should focus on how we were jobbed. I think we should credit Troy for bringing it.

I blame the lack of excitement on the nasty court we were playing on. It is hard to play basketball when your eyes are constantly bleeding!!!

My wife says that color looks like baby poop. And she didn't read TexAgs to arrive at that opinion...had four kids.
