She is humble, talented and RELENTLESS!!! She is the kind of leader who you want to follow, and who elevates her teammates to play like they are capable of playing to win! I am so thankful she is our leader and our AGGIE!

Without her, we lose both tournament games by twenty points.

One of the best performances we have seen in either tournament this year. Absolute ice water in her veins.

That kid has grit and talent and skill . . .

I liked her post game comment about the spirit of the 12th man, but couldn't fully hear the context...was she attributing the victory to the "spirit of the 12th man" or was that in reference to her coach passing?

She said the team's determination and never-say-die attitude was part of the Spirit of the Twelfth Man.

Some program notes:

Blair is on record as saying he wanted her this year to be able to play more at the 2 since that is her natural position.

She has had great relief support both Alexis Morris and McKinzie Green. Both have a bit more quickness than Jordan and have provided spot relief against smaller, quick guards for on-ball defense. Either likely could have taken over more minutes as the 1.

But Blair's bread and butter is the point guard and he sets high expectations and rewards the 1 that provides the most confidence and ball security to the team. Jordan grew in front of our eyes during the year and win he trust of the coaches and her teammates.

Everyone was critical to the game. Arguably even the solid bench helped in practice since the last we heard they were not using additional practice players in practice. They all deserve credit for being there and for working hard. Jordan took that extra step last night not in small part on defense, with the help of teammates screening, and distributing. Great game for her and for the team. Could not be prouder of what I saw last night in the face of a tremendous effort by Iowa State. Ignore the complaints of officiating and admire the game both teams gave us. It is a gem and a classic. Very proud to be a fan who is both a degreed graduste of Texas A&M and an almost eight-year resident of Iowa. Both teams worked hard and did not give up. But we brought a modestly more centered and complete team and they played to win.

With Muffet McGraw retiring after 33 yrs, and ND going 10-10 this year,
Nixon made a wise decision to transfer to our Aggie program! ND did not make the NCAA tournament.

What an incredible warrior, teammate and individual! After the last 2 performances by Jordan and the Ags, a whole lot more people ought to get behind this year's edition (and a lot of our other teams could afford to pay attention to the attitude that Jordan expressed in her post game interview!)
