It just seems strange given the perception much of this season and the men being 4-4 in the SEC and the women 1-7 in the SEC. And I guess that is due to expectations of each team. Is this also due to difference in the non-conference wins and losses by each program outweighing the conference performance? What other factors? Shouldn't anything from previous season have played out of these rankings.

Quality of wins/losses phenomenon. If we did a work up of opponents based on NET it would start becoming clearer.
