So cool that our team is visiting two of the most iconic venues in college hoops back to back…Cameron Indoor and now Allen Fieldhouse. I wonder how many teams have ever done that? I love that Joni said they are taking time to educate the team on the rich history of both venues. Very, very cool!

It will be a tough matchup for us. Was just reading about KU and saw this…
"Kansas returns four starters from a 21-10 team that made the program's first NCAA tournament appearance since 2013. KU is led by 6-6 senior center Taiyanna Jackson (16 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks per game). Senior guard Holly Kersgieter (12.4 ppg, 7.2 rpg) was a preseason All-Big 12 Conference pick."
Veteran team with size on the road will be a stiff test, but it's good to play teams like this to prep for conference play.

21-17 Kansas at the 2nd quarter media timeout. We have had some decent moments but just cannot seem to maintain focus.

Fell hard on her wrist. Taped it up. Tried to go back in. Left the floor and is on the bench now but not playing. Roby is out injured now.
32-26 Kansas at the break as Patty hits a 3 at the buzzer. Offensively we just are a mess. Defensively we do look a bit better today as we are alternating a zone and man defense.

Dang, we have 2 players injured tonight? Sounds like the football season.
Hopefully we see them back out in the second half. This is a winnable game if we had a consistent offense.

I like Hylton, too. McKinzie brings some of Blair's PG concepts even if she isn't the same experience or ability as some of the best. She works hard and hopefully is working as a player coach. But this year is a year to watch for growth. But we have talent and good things can happen.

I'm at the men's game, so not watching WBB, but the stats say we have up 5 layups in 3Q.

I understand having a new coach and all, but we aren't even competitive. No reason to be losing this bad to Kansas
This happens to a lot of teams when they lose their leading scorer, five minutes into the game. Then Roby who could've had a really nice game tonight matching up with Jackson got hurt. The zone was good in theory but their shooters caught fire and we seem to only have one. The point of attack defense continues to be a huge problem. This is what happens when you take a team full of players who are learning how to play winning college basketball on the fly to a nearly fully returning NCAA tournament team. We don't have a reliable point guard option, we don't have reliable long range shooters, and we don't have depth. You need all these things to win at this level. Kansas has all those things. That's why we got blown out by to a top 35 team on the road. #GigEm #Becoming #BTHOMorganState
I completely agree with you, and all valid points. Just painful to watch. Crazy that just a little over 10 years ago we won a natty.
Taylor is going to have to hit the transfer portal hard this year. Barker is a good 4, she's not meant to play the 5. We need a true point guard and a true post. I think we are solid 2-4 with Bowels, Jones, Barker.

M. Green should not have been ranked top 100. She isn't good, neither is Kay Kay Green nor is Hylton. Hylton has the brightest future, but she isn't a premier D1 player. Roby is the only post worth anything but she's too slow to run the system. This team really isn't very talented outside of barker, and maybe bowles. Jones shows promise but she really needs to work on her shot. Overall this is not a top 50 team, despite the number of 4 and 5 stars who were mis-ranked out of HS. We need about 3-5 good players out of portal and ask the others to leave...to be competitive

Agreed, it's just not something you do, this staff has certain players they want as far as talent, mental makeup, basketball IQ, and heart. Rushing a rebuild to satisfy fans isn't the way to go. She'll bring a few girls in from the portal if she can but you play a season like this to know what you need to bring in. Some girls will get better throughout the season and others won't, but we're only a quarter through THIS season so I'll talk about NEXT season when THIS season is over. #BTHOMorganState
