If we want to win big, we'll…we won't.
So a plan to make college generally more affordable shouldn't apply to institutions whose alumni hold their noses collectively in the air???TXAGBQ76 said:
That's a good thing I'm not sure our collapsing front porch can handle much more than the ~80K we have! Thank goodness people are staying away!
Your judgment that it is too many is where you said it.TXAGBQ76 said:
Where did I say that? I said we have almost 80k students which too many. Not sure how sports lowers the cost of education for almost 80K students.
pay up for whom? just paying someone 4 million doesn't mean they will have success- that is very naive? Even trying to steal Staley away fro m SC by say paying 5 Mil/ year doesn't mean that coach will have success here.Cedar09 said:
Time for us to pay up and win!
I'm certain that college is the least efficient way to learn something and USNews emphasizes schools that are way more expensive than A&M and emphasize tiny class sizes. If you want the price to be like Harvard then limit admission and feel hoity toity.TXAGBQ76 said:
So you are ok going to 80k and above? According to the former VP of Student Affairs and the President, we running out of classrooms, running out of support services, our infrastructures are being stressed, etc.
I'm just saying until we get our handle on things, it's not a bad thing to slow and develop short/long term plans for dealing with current issues and how to properly deal with future growth. But that's just my opinion, if you disagree, cool, you are certainly entitled to your own.
