I think she quit first, only fielded a roster of 11 girls, lost 6 to the portal, signed an atrocious class for next year…

Based on what we all just saw (and actually witnessed this entire season), I'd say Joni "attended" another WBB loss - there was no actual coaching that went on by her or her staff. The women on this roster deserved better.
It will be a leadership failure by Trev to let Joni come back.

11 game losing streak. Shocking how far we've fallen from 2011. 14 straight NCAA tourney appearances(would have probably been 15 if not for Covid season) to having losing records 3 out of the last 4 years…someone needs to be fired.

Out of curiosity, it might have been interesting for her to have tryouts for walk-ons to increase the roster size for practices, and to spell some of the scholarship girls for breathers in the games. I suppose there are reasons why it wouldn't work, but I suspect there are a number of girls on campus who were pretty competent high school ballers.
How about firing her before the year ends to send a message. Let an assistant finish outa year and actively start a coach search now?

I once again can't believe people are writing off our at large bid chances. We were 6-3 in quad 4 games.

I should tell you what I really think. The op is trolling. I think it's funny that the people demanding Blair be voluntold to retire should own the decrease in ability. And, no, I don't see anyone else in Blair's coaching tree that should have been hired instead. Look at Neighbors at Arkansas for instance.

Amy Wright is winning some at Long Beach State, and Starkey is adding to his legend at LSU.

There is a precedent for this at A&M - as fans, we always loved when the walk-on would play and cheer for her to score while in the game.
